St. George’s Cathedral hosts vibrant fellowship groups that cater to all age groups. These groups align with the larger vision of serving the church and society for the glory of God.
St. George’s Cathedral boasts a rich tradition of worship and prayer. Music plays a profoundly significant role within our sacred walls. The grand pipe organ, crafted by Hill and Sons in London, fills the Cathedral with soul-stirring melodies. Its resonant tone bring comfort to the depths of worshippers’ hearts, drawing people from all corners of Chennai to join in joyful praise.
Our devoted Cathedral Choir enhances worship services through their choral singing. Their harmonious voices elevate prayer and create a spiritual atmosphere. Additionally, during Lent and Advent, the Choir presents seasonal sacred music, adding to the richness of our worship experience.
Beyond our Choir, we extend a warm invitation to visiting choirs to share their talents within our Cathedral. Together, we celebrate the beauty of music and its power to uplift our souls.

On December 4, 1990, a group of men from St. George’s Cathedral gathered within the premises of the newly dedicated St. George’s Church in Tiruporur. Today, the Cathedral Men’s Fellowship stands as a vital wing of our church, comprising 58 dedicated members. They convene every second Sunday after the 7:30 a.m. service.
The Men’s Fellowship actively seeks new ways to witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and contribute to the Cathedral’s ministries. Some of their impactful activities include:
